The central locking works only with the fob ,the interior door buttons do nothing,and the interior boot switch has stoped working,it locks and unlocks fine with the fob. Join Date: Dec 2008. Posts: 897. WARNING: Key Fob Battery change = Key Fob reprogram. Battery change in key fob (XR5 version) has resulted in total loss of programming in key fob. Unable to lock car with either key fob or door buttons. Still starts OK when key fob inside car. Dealer says BOTH key fobs need to be reprogrammed by plugging the car Sep 28, 2020 · Pirnie. I picked up my new (to me) mk4 Focus last week which has keyless entry. When I picked it up the keyless entry worked on both driver amd passenger side, however, since then the passenger side has stopped working and i can only lock and unlock the drivers side and boot with keyless. Nov 7, 2017 · If you fold the mirrors manually once before locking, they stop working with the key fob if it's the same as older Fords. As for deadlocking on the key, turn the key as far as you can and hold it for a couple of seconds, should hear the deadlocks. The keyless entry option builds on this by adding a few components. The same KVM is used for both systems. For the keyless entry option there is a low frequency antenna built into the drivers and passenger's front door handles. Also there is one behind the rear bumper. Jan 2, 2020 · Turn first to position II then 0 and remove. Turn key 2 to II then 0 and remove. Turn new key to position II within 10 seconds and then that will be coded. Remove wait 5 seconds for system to be activated. I have been assured the chip is correct for my 2003 mondeo TDCi. Feb 3, 2015 · The mondeo's second key operates normally with no issues, I am trying to work out if there is an issue with the Fob's sync to the car (despite working with a fresh battery) or if the fob has some kind of fault.
